Another James Halliday 5 Star Rating

The 2014 James Halliday Australian Wine Companion was released last Thursday and we are proud to announce that for the 5th consecutive year we have been rated a 5 star winery.  14 of our wines received a score of 90 points or above, with our Rare Rutherglen Muscat reaching the dizzy heights of 98 points and our Rare Rutherglen Topaque and our Grand Rutherglen Muscat scoring 97 points.

Our Apera wines continued to please with our Seriously Fine and our Seriously Nutty both scoring 94 points.  Other fortifieds to score 90+ points in the 2014 guide included our Classic Rutherglen Muscat, our Classic Rutherglen Topaque and our Rutherglen Muscat.

We were also thrilled with our table wine results.  Our Pfeiffer Carlyle 2010 Cabernet Merlot was elevated in status with a whopping 94 points, followed closely by our Pfeiffer 2011 Shiraz with 93 points, our Pfeiffer 2012 Riesling with 91 points and our Pfeiffer 2011 Cabernet Sauvignon, our Pfeiffer 2011 Merlot and our Pfeiffer Carlyle 2011 Shiraz all awarded 90 points.

The Rutherglen region excelled again with 7 wineries being awarded a 5 star status and a collective regional total of 83 wines being scored with 90 points or above.
