Make the March long weekend your time to relax and recharge, as our 19 Rutherglen cellar doors invite you to our tasting tables for Tastes of Rutherglen.
Experience the regions finest cuisine with purposely paired wines, participate in the many masterclasses and special events on offer and simply unwind in our expansive outdoor spaces and lush lawns.
Tastes of Rutherglen is on Saturday March 6th and Sunday March 7th 2021. This is the Victorian Labour Day Long Weekend.
How Does It Work?
1. Purchase your Tastes of Rutherglen Festival Entry
$20pp (includes wristband and festival glass) | Your ticket is valid BOTH days.
2. Map out your gourmet Food and Wine trail for the weekend
Simply select which wineries food and wine matches you want to indulge in and start planning for your long weekend escape.
Remember, this is a roaming gourmet feast so try and visit a few wineries (and try and include savoury and sweet options) each day for a full culinary experience.
Tastes of Rutherglen Brochure and Menus
If you are lucky enough to have a designated driver, they receive free entry for the Tastes of Rutherglen festival, as well as two complimentary tea and coffee vouchers for the weekend.
If your have no designated driver and you would rather not drive, there are hop on/hop off TAC shuttle bus services in operation between the wineries all weekend. The cost is $27pp per day. Shuttle Bus tickets must be pre-booked via the Tastes of Rutherglen website.
Should I Pre-Book for Seated Tastings and Meals during this weekend?
Yes – Pre-Booking is HIGHLY recommended!
Because of the current COVIDSafe limits on venue capacities and density requirement obligations, we highly encourage you to Pre-Book your Seated Tastings and your Tastes of Rutherglen meals at Pfeiffer Wines to ensure you don’t miss out. Seated Tasting and Tastes of Rutherglen meals can still be arranged on the day subject to availability and COVIDSafe space.
Other than the incredible cellar door tasting programs on offer over both days, a range of events will take place at wineries including pop up bars, masterclasses, dinners, live bands and much more! There is fun for the whole family, with plenty of wineries offering children’s entertainment.

Our chef for the weekend is the well-known and much loved foodie, Kate Akrap of Savoy Truffle Co Rutherglen.

Pfeiffer Wines will continue to offer Seated Tastings during the Tastes of Rutherglen weekend. This helps with our COVIDSafe practices to keep us all safe.
A complimentary Tastes of Rutherglen Seated Tasting is available at Pfeiffer Wines during the weekend.
You MUST have a 2021 Tastes of Rutherglen Festival ticket (wristband and glass) and your tasting will be in your Tastes of Rutherglen glass. The tasting is for a maximum of 1 hour and includes all 29 wines available to try.
Our regular Seated Tasting Experiences can still be booking in during Tastes of Rutherglen and are $10pp.
Non tasters do not pay any Seated Tasting fee but must be booked in if they are sitting with you. The full Seated Tasting Experience includes the full range of 29 wines to taste in premium glassware and longer tasting times, taking your experience to a whole new level. This fee is fully refundable if you join our Wine Club or purchase Pfeiffer wine to the value of $80 or more at our cellar door on the day of your tasting.
There is NO Seated Tasting Experience fee for Pfeiffer Wine Club members and a maximum of three family or friends. You will still need to Pre Book but you do not pay at the time of checkout, providing you select the Wine Club (or Wine Club Guest) option.
You can still enjoy a glass or bottle of Pfeiffer wine in our beautiful and shaded grounds without doing a Seated Tasting. Bookings are not required for this but seating is subject to availability. You are also very welcome to bring your own picnic rug and find a place in one of our marked grass areas.

Watch the sun go down at Pfeiffer Wines with your wine cocktail of choice in hand this Tastes of Rutherglen.
Our Pop Up Bar will also offer a selection of Pfeiffer wines and light snacks throughout the evening. Savoy Truffle Co dishes are available until 7pm and MUST be pre-booked.
Bridge Bar Bridge Seating $5pp (Bookings Essential…limited space available). NO MORE SEATS AVAILABLE ON THE BRIDGE
Lawns and General Seating $No Charge
You are also very welcome to bring your own picnic rug and find your own little piece of paradise within our beautiful grounds to just soak up the atmosphere of the evening.

The Tastes of Rutherglen Saturday Night Shuttle Bus ($10pp) is available for anyone in Rutherglen or Corowa and will be dropping off/picking up from Pfeiffer Wines during the Bridge Bar each hour. These Shuttle Bus tickets must be pre-booked via the Tastes of Rutherglen website.
